Opal overhears Vanessa confessing to Leo that she slept with her chauffeur. Opal confronts Vanessa, and Vanessa threatens to harm Opal and her entire family if Opal spills the beans to Palmer. Vanessa also keeps tabs on Mateo and falls into his trap, fuming when she learns that he skimmed from profits. Meanwhile, David creates a scene when he punches Roger at the Crystal Ball. During the struggle, Anna, Edmund, Chris and Brooke stand alerted after Roger blurts that David only cares about his drugs. Mia tattles to Leo when she spies distraught Greenlee seeking comfort in Jake's arms, but Leo surprisingly supports Greenlee's actions. Anna shows David the vial of truth serum given to her by Chris, hoping to prove to David that he can trust her. However, David remains shut down, and once alone he injects himself with an unknown drug. Chris approaches Mateo with pictures of Julia and admits that he knows Mateo's breakup with Hayley is only an act. Chris cautions Mateo, and Mateo expresses to Simone his fear that Chris is Proteus and that he intends to harm Mateo's family. At the same time, Adam warns Simone that pain caused to his daughter by Simone's relationship with Mateo will cause Simone pain in return. Adam also catches Liza with her attorney, but Liza covers successfully. |
