Chris admits to Ryan that he wanted his father dead and that he set a trap for Ryan's father in order to kill him. Chris acknowledges that he spent two years behind a desk as punishment, and Ryan slugs Chris before storming off. Meanwhile, Roger thanks David for his injection, and Anna follows Roger to Mateo's club. Mateo gives Roger a disc to forward to Proteus, and Mateo continues to play the role of Simone's lover to squelch any suspicions. Mateo also lies to Stuart in order to keep in character, and Stuart assures Mateo that his troubled marriage will prevail. In the meantime, Anna returns to David's side, despite the evidence stacking up against him. In the elevator, Laura presses Greenlee to chose between Leo and Jake, and Greenlee finally opts for neither man. Still stuck, Greenlee declares that she does not need a man to feel fulfilled, and both Leo and Jake swiftly bow out to Laura's pleasure. Later, Greenlee kicks Leo out of her apartment. Laura praises Jake on his performance designed to make Greenlee want him more, but Jake shocks Laura when he denies playing games to win Greenlee's affections. |
