Erica grows emotional as she reads a goodbye letter Chris left for her. Erica blames herself for Chris' death and for Jack's shooting. Jack denies that he holds Erica responsible for Michael's attack on her. Erica announces to Jack that she is breaking their engagement for his own protection. Kendall is shocked to find Michael waiting for her when she returns home. Kendall's anger rises when Michael tries to paint himself as a victim and claims that Erica made advances on him in her office. Michael becomes threatening when Kendall orders him to leave. Aidan arrives and saves Kendall from a menacing Michael. Kendall realizes that Maria is back with Edmund. Aidan and Kendall fall back into their easy friendship and debate the merits of having fun with someone without falling in love. Adam is angry when he learns of Michael's attack on Erica but agrees to keep doing business with Michael. David and Anna share their fears as they take Leora to the hospital for her pacemaker surgery. Anna reminds David that he isn't allowed in the operating room during the procedure and Joe later reiterates the same. Unable to sit back and do nothing while Leora is being operated on, David dresses in surgical garb and prepares to sneak into the operating room. Isabella is overjoyed when she realizes that Maria regained her memory. Maria assures Isabella that her romantic relationship with Aidan is over but that she will always consider him to be a friend.
