Ryan beseeches Kendall to try and separate their business relationship with Greenlee from their own personal relationship but Kendall refuses to compromise where Greenlee is concerned. Ryan urges Kendall to trust him when he promises that Greenlee will never come between them. Ryan walks away from Kendall when it becomes clear that she is unable to trust him completely. Mary encourages Greenlee to scheme to get Ryan away from Kendall while David urges Greenlee to put Ryan behind her. Ryan asks Greenlee to marry him. Edmund and Maria are devastated over the fact that his surgery was unsuccessful. Aidan comforts Anita, who is upset about Edmund and Maria. Anita jumps to the wrong conclusion and accuses Aidan of trying to use her to get information about Bobby and Erica. Danielle plays a practical joke on Reggie.
