Kendall's blood boils when Ryan suggests that they accept Greenlee as part of Spike's family. Greenlee feels that Kendall's attitude is making that impossible as she won't even let her near the boy. Ryan points out to Kendall that if Zach can be a step-father to Spike, Greenlee should be given the same respect as she is the reason they even have Spike in the first place. Kendall warns Ryan that his generosity towards Greenlee will come back to bite him and angrily refuses to make her a part of their little family. Meanwhile, Greenlee shocks Annie with the news that Ryan is lobbying Kendall on her behalf. Jack brings Sean home after his night in jail. Any hostility between Jack and Erica are instantly shelved as she shows her concern for Sean, counseling him not to risk his future to protect Colby. Jack and Erica quickly fall into sync as they try to come up with a solution to Sean's problem. Jack appreciates Erica helping out and kisses her. Ava finds Lily looking through keepsakes from her wedding and gains insight into what a romantic husband Jonathan was. Ava fishes as to how Lily would feel if Jonathan dated someone else. Jonathan and Ava hide their feelings when he offers her money with no strings attached. Sean begins to suspect that Ava might have planted the pills in his jacket.
