Adam turns to Zach in his desperation to raise JR's ransom. Once Zach learns that JR has been kidnapped, he plays hardball, demanding Adam sign over every single thing he owns - including all his stocks and the mansion - as collateral. Meanwhile, Stuart convinces Krystal to reach out to Adam as he's concerned for his brother's wellbeing. Wanting to conclude his arrangement with Zach in private, Adam hides is real feelings and rudely sends Krystal on her way. Adam signs all his worldly goods over to Zach but feels confident he has a backup plan in the works to reclaim the money. A smug Zach pulls the scam of a lifetime when it's revealed that he's in cahoots with one of JR's less than loyal minions. Amanda realizes that she has the power to send JR to prison and demands a piece of the action in exchange for her cooperation. JR is turned on by this side of Amanda and the two make love. JR and Amanda bask in the thought of getting their revenge on Adam but JR soon begins to suspect that they could be in trouble for real. Ava blatantly lies and denies to Jack that she planted the drugs in Sean's jacket. Jonathan comes to Lily's rescue when the dealer threatens her. Jonathan and Lily say goodbye to their wedding memories as they float their mementos downstream. When Lily tells Jack and Sean about her run in with the dealer, it becomes clear that Ava had done business with him. Ava knows she's burned her bridges with Jack and offers to make it look like she's leaving voluntarily to spare Lily any heartache. Ava shares a heartfelt goodbye with her sister and ends up taking refuge in the empty boathouse. |
