Kendall's emotions run the spectrum from guilt to anger to shame as she tries to explain her mindset when she slept with Aidan: She was convinced Zach was dead, Aidan thought Greenlee was too, and they needed to forget. Zach's biggest sense of betrayal comes with Kendall having waited so long to tell him. Kendall takes Zach to the scene of her infidelity, where he holds an emotionally wrecked Kendall in his arms. Meanwhile, Aidan admits to Tad that he and Kendall slept together. Aidan feels terrible, and doesn't want it to cost him a future with Greenlee.

Greenlee does her best to try and make things okay between Ryan and Annie, who tells Ryan that Greenlee's engaged. Ryan asks Annie to tell him how they fell in love and is privately unsettled as she recalls their times together—none of which he remembers.

Angie becomes upset when she finds Jesse with Robert's files on Papel. She wants Jesse to drop investigating the man who forced him on the run for twenty years and to live in the present. Angie goes to Rob (who's really Papel) and asks him to stop filling Jesse's head with thoughts of the evil crime lord. Frankie opens up to Jesse about the horrors he faced in the Iraqi war and how he blames himself for the deaths of several of his friends.
