Tad's friends and family hold vigil at the hospital as Joe, Jake and Angie work to save his life. Greg offers his support to Ruth, Opal and Krystal. In recovery, Tad awakens to see Dixie right by his side.
Dre comforts Cassandra, and explains that all the death is reminding him of losing his mother on 9/11.
JR accuses Adam of being on a death watch, waiting for Tad to die. Dixie points out to Adam that his family is suffering because they all love Tad. Jesse and Aidan throw themselves into the search for Kate and find letters Tad had written to the little girl.
Kendall visits Greenlee in an attempt to make peace with her. Greenlee is not having it. She tells Kendall she'd rather dismantle Fusion than work with Kendall. Meanwhile, Jack is furious with Kendall but Zach tells him to back off, explaining that Kendall is sorry for her mistake.
Frankie meets Randi, a young woman who has been beaten and brought into the hospital. She's evasive when he asks how she was injured.
