Mario Van Peebles joins All My Children
Film and television star Mario Van Peebles joined All My Childrenon Tuesday, January 29--and Erica Kane better watch out!
Mario plays Samuel Woods, a US District Attorney running for Senate. Erica lands him as a guest on her talk show, "New Beginnings," and the sparks begin to fly. This won't sit well with Jackson, who shares a tense past with Samuel. But there's a thin line between love and hate, and Erica may just cross it when she discovers Samuel's true agenda for her: He has her arrested!
FYI, Samuel already has ties to Pine Valley. His son, Dre, is cozying up to Colby Chandler while she hides the hottie from his dad.
The multi-talented and award winning Van Peebles is best known for acting and directing in such films as New Jack City, Posse and Panther. He has also starred in Ali, Heartbreak Ridge, Ten Thousand Black Men Named George and the television series Rude Awakenings.
This isn't Mario's first stint on an ABC Daytime drama. He played Doc Gilmore on One Life to Live from 1982-83.
