Ignacio Serricchio joined the cast of General Hospital in September 2004 as Diego Sanchez, the long-lost son of Lorenzo Alcazar.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Ignacio has studied various aspects of the entertainment industry, including directing, acting, Tai Chi, modern dance, stage combat and voice practicum, all at Syracuse University's acclaimed drama department. In addition, he has learned salsa, merengue, cumbia, jazz and hip hop. Ignacio has also studied many languages and can read, speak and write French, Spanish and Italian.

His theater credits include Othello, Rumors, Barefoot in the Park and M. Butterfly. He has also expanded his talents into film, where he recently took on the lead role in the film States of Grace.

In his spare time, an adventurous Ignacio likes to practice kung fu, snowboard, scuba dive and swim. More traditional sports are another passion of his, as he enjoys playing soccer and volleyball.

He lives in Los Angeles.
