David Chisum
David Chisum joined the cast of One Life to Live in February 2007 in the role of Miles Laurence.

Mr. Chisum was born in Livonia, MI and was raised in Fullerton, CA. He received a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from New Mexico State University, which he attended on an athletic scholarship to play quarterback. He enjoys competing in a variety of sports and held the record for most sacks by a quarterback in the NCAA Division I. After graduation, he began working as an reporter and anchor for the New Mexico PBS station as well as the color commentator for high school football on New Mexico broadcast radio.

Mr. Chisum decided to continue his career in broadcasting and moved to Los Angeles. Landing a job in a more competitive market proved to be difficult. In the meantime, he took a sales job and used that time to write a screenplay and dream of a career in acting. He was a self-professed "terrible salesman," which prompted him to pursue acting. He enrolled in the DW Brown/Joanne Baron Studio to study the Meisner technique followed by studying with Nikolai Guzov to learn about the Chekov approach. While studying his passion, he lived the typical actor's life going from audition to audition between waiting shifts at a restaurant.

A chance meeting at a local restaurant led him to meet his future wife. Five years later, they were married.
