Two-time Emmy Award winning actress joined the cast of One Life to Live on December 11, 2003 when she assumed the role of Kelly Cramer Buchanan. The young daytime veteran won her first Emmy at the age of 16 for her portrayal of Victoria Newman on The Young & the Restless and was honored again in 1999. In the fall of 2003, she ended her 13-year run on Y&R to move to New York City and join the cast of OLTL.

Ms. Tom holds the National Academy of Television Arts and Science's record as the most nominated actress under the age of 30. In 2004, she was honored with a nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category. In March 2004, David Tom joined the cast of OLTL in the role of Paul Cramer playing brother to Ms. Tom's Kelly making the pair daytime's only siblings both on and off screen. In 2000, they each received Emmy Award Nominations for Best Younger Leading Actor and Actress, becoming the first brother and sister pair to be nominated in the same year.

Theatrically, Ms. Tom has produced a revival of Neil Simon's Biloxi Blues in Los Angeles which she played the role of Daisy. The play was honored with 5 Dramalogue Awards. She also produced and starred in Mark Medoff's Gila. Through this role, she became fluent in sign language and was honored with a Robbie Theatre L.A. Award nomination for Best Actress. Her relationship with Mark Medoff's Gila, now entitled Prymate, continued when she starred in the Florida State University's production in 2004. On May 5, 2004, the play moved to Broadway with Ms. Tom in the role of Allison. Ms. Tom now does double duty at OLTL and in Broadway's Prymate.

Ms. Tom was a commercial actress at the age of two and at the age of 10, was dancing with the Seattle Pacific Ballet. At the age of 13, she and her actor-siblings Nicholle (The Nanny) and David (Y&R) were ready to break into Hollywood. They took a trial trip to Los Angeles which turned into a permanent move. As a young actress, she took acting classes at the Young Actor's Space, paying for each weekly session with the money she earned working at a local cookie shop. Ms. Tom soon landed roles on Kids Incorporated and Who's The Boss. Her other credits include such movies of the week as I'll Take Romance and Deadly Whispers and starring roles in the feature films Lessie's Rainbow and Lookin Good.

Ms. Tom is devoted to helping others and recently created Daytime for Planned Parenthood, a committee which promotes a women's right to choose. She also works very closely with several AIDS service organizations such as Caring for Babies and Families with AIDS, Project Angelfood and AIDS Project Los Angeles.

In addition to her acting and charity work, Ms. Tom is extremely passionate about politics and worked very closely with Congressman Loretta Sanchez's campaign as well as with Rock the Vote to help get out the younger voters. She was also very active in Gore's 2000 campaign and looks forward to being involved in 2004. Her passion for politics has led to numerous appearances on political discussion shows, such as Politically Incorrect and Scarborough Country.

Ms. Tom enjoys reading plays, scripts and classical literature. She is an avid art collector who has amassed an impressive collection of sculpture, painting and prints.
