President Davidson said we should take some time to write something about ourselves so all of our back-breaking labor isn't done in anonymity. I guess that means instead we'll be martyrs. I know I don't read Habitat for Humanity's stuff for kicks. Nobody's interested in the "human side" of The Love Project -- they just want to know when they'll be able to start signing up for ballroom dance classes and bingo nights. Ha.

But if you have to know something about me, here it is. I'm part of this project because I don't have a choice. I thought LU would be a step up from community college in Atlantic City but this whole plot to force us to volunteer makes me nauseous - I'd rather dodge winos and mobsters on the boardwalk than swing a hammer with a bunch of losers all day. Only because I flunked a couple of stupid classes. And then come back to our dinky little "cottage" every night, COVERED in sawdust and paint, have to fight over the TWO bathrooms for eight people and get yelled at for MISTAKENLY eating somebody's yogurt. God, I am so glad I'm moving into off-campus housing this fall.

And it's not exactly motivating when you get crucified by your supposed teammates for one crazy thing after another … Stolen supplies? Riiiiiight, because I need all that low-grade lumber and PVC piping for the beach house I'm building on the shores of the repellent Llantano River. And yeah, I vandalized the site because I love the place so darn much I want to spend an extra twelve hours whitewashing graffite. Sure, makes perfect sense.

I guess getting branded a rampaging bitch is the price you pay for not holding back.
