Blair attacks Marty when she sees her entering the courtroom at Spencer's trial. Evangeline's expert witness testifies that he believes Spencer is sane and is fit to stand trial. Evangeline and Mark deliver their closing arguments. Viki questions Marty's motives for testifying in Spencer's defense. John and Natalie discuss the fact that John's mother gave her the engagement ring when everyone thought he was dead. Natalie and John agree not to rush things and try to remain optimistic that Spencer will be found guilty of murder. Starr agrees to talk to Cole, much to Langston's displeasure. Starr admits to Cole that is was Langston, not her, who sent him the instant message telling him to stay away. Cole clearly wants to be friends with Starr.
