Andrea Evans returns to
OLTL as Tina Lord!
It's official! As One Life to Live prepares to celebrate its 40th Anniversary, Andrea Evans is returning as one of daytime television's most beloved bad girls, Tina Lord. She first airs in the beginning of June.
"For many years, both fans of mine and 'One Life to Live' have wanted me to return to the show," said Ms. Evans. "Now that the timing is right, I'm thrilled to be returning to the role of Tina, which I've always held near and dear to my heart. I'm looking forward to working once again with all my friends and 'family' at 'One Live to Live.'"
The Emmy® nominated actress originated the role of Tina in 1978 and played her until 1981. She returned to OLTL in 1985 and stayed with the show until 1990. Ever since her exit, fans of the show have been clamoring for the popular actress to come back to Llanview. OLTL was listening:
"Even though Andrea has not appeared on OLTL since 1990, she has remained among the most requested characters to return to the show," said executive producer Frank Valentini. "I welcome her home to OLTL and to the role where she made an indelible mark on our audience."
When the character was last seen, Tina had divorced David Vickers (Tuc Watkins) and left town to start over in Baltimore. Since then, she hasn't kept in close contact with her family. In fact, her daughter Sarah (Justis Bolding) and siblings Viki (Erika Slezak) and Todd (Trevor St. John) don't even know where she is.
That's all going to change. Look for Tina to come back with a big secret, a surprising revelation on where she's been, as well as a connection to one of Llanview's most powerful residents. Her return will kick off a major story that will play through the summer. Get ready for the kind of trouble only she can create, and which will open the door for another fan favorite to return.
