American Crime Season 2 Premiere Returns with a New Story

The American Crime Season 2 Premiere is tonight! Which means that fans of the most groundbreaking drama on TV don't have to wait long until American Crime Season 2 starts.

We're not the only fans of this incredible show: The first season of American Crime was recently nominated for 3 Golden Globes, and Regina King, who will be returning in Season 2, won the 2015 Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series for her portrayal of Aliyah Shadeed in Season 1. The show is considered an "anthology series," where each season is its own distinct story with a distinct set of characters. So while you will see familiar faces from Season 1, like Golden Globe Nominee Felicity Huffman, she'll be playing a different character this season -- in this case, Leslie Graham

Season 2 deals with ssues of sexual orientation and socioeconomic disparity come to a boil when lurid photos of a high school boy, Taylor Blaine (Falling Skies' Connor Jessup), are posted on social media following a school party. Circumstances become more complicated when Taylor accuses two players on an elite private high school’s championship basketball team of drugging, assaulting and then posting the pictures of him online.

The team’s head coach, Dan Sullivan (Timothy Hutton), tries to unite the players, while overlooking the dysfunction of his own family. Headmistress Leslie Graham (Huffman) struggles to maintain the school’s reputation in the face of accusations of privilege and cover up.
