Dr. Owen Morely, the chief of staff and department chairman of The Cube, is Catherine's former teacher, current boss and mentor and fellow neurologist – a gentleman to his core.
Terry Kinney is a co-founder, along with Gary Sinise and Jeff Perry, of Steppenwolf Theatre Company. His directing credits there include The Violet Hour, A Streetcar Named Desire, A Clockwork Orange, Of Mice and Men, and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, which moved to Broadway and won a Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. No stranger to the New York City circuit, his directing credits include the world premiere of Checkers by Doug McGrath, reasons to be pretty for MCC and Broadway, and After Ashley and Beautiful Child at the Vineyard Theatre, among others.
Kinney's film directing credits include the short film Kubuku Rides (This Is It) for Steppenwolf Films and Diminished Capacity with Matthew Broderick and Alan Alda, which premiered at The Sundance Film Festival. Film appearances include Save the Last Dance, Sleepers, Fly Away Home, Last of the Mohicans, The Firm, Devil in a Blue Dress, and Turn the River.
Along with his stage and film credits, Kinney's television credits include his portrayal of Emerald City creator Tim McManus in the prison drama Oz. He has been seen in The Mentalist, The Unusuals, NYC 22,The Laramie Project, thirtysomething, Kidnapped, George Wallace, and The Good Wife.
