Tonioli has also been a popular judge on Strictly Come Dancing—the UK version of Dancing with the Stars—as well as a guest judge on the Australian version.

He is a renowned choreographer and has worked on countless films, plays, music videos, commercials, concerts, trade shows and television series with such music icons as Elton John, Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Tina Turner and Paul McCartney.

Tonioli started out as a dancer before moving on to become a successful choreographer. He has worked on several films including Ella Enchanted, What a Girl Wants, Enigma and Blow Dry.

His long list of music video credits includes Sheena Easton's Giving Up, Giving In, Wycliffe & Bono's New Day United Nations Video for Kosovo, Elton John's Please, Sting's This Cowboy Song, Michael Jackson's Give in to Me, Tina Turner's Steamy Windows, The Rolling Stones' One Hit, Paul McCartney's Hope of Deliverance and many more.

Among Tonioli’s many concert credits are Tina Turner's Foreign Affairs and Duran Duran's World Tour. He also works in theater and television.
