Amber Riley, best known for her role of Mercedes Jones on FOX’s Golden Globe, Peabody and SAG Award winning musical comedy Glee, got her first big break when Ryan Murphy cast her in the pilot St. Sass. Although the pilot was not picked up to series, she was able to use that experience to land a role on the television series Cedric the Entertainer Presents. Amber has performed in numerous theater productions, including Alice in Wonderland, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Into the Woods and Mystery on the Docks with the Los Angeles Opera. In November 2012, she made her New York stage debut to rave reviews in New York City Center’s Duke Ellington’s Cotton Club Parade. Amber has received two individual NAACP Image Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy series for her work on Glee. In 2011, she was nominated for a second Teen Choice Award for Choice TV: Female Scene Stealer and in 2010 received the Most Popular Geek Award at AOL’s 1st Annual Geek Awards. Amber previously served as an Ambassador for VH-1’s Save the Music Foundation and as a member of Seventeen Magazine’s Body Peace Council. She is currently in the studio working on her debut solo album.
Derek Hough, the only four time champion in franchise history of the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars, started dancing in his hometown of Salt Lake City, UT, at age 11. Just one year later, he moved to London to live and train with the top dance coaches in the world and attend performing arts school where he studied theatre, music and dance.
A multi-talented entertainer and Emmy Award-winning choreographer, Hough will be seen in a starring role for director Duane Adler and producer Robert Cort in Make Your Move which hits theatres in March of 2014. Acting opposite Korean pop sensation BoA, Make Your Move tells the story of star-crossed dancers in New York find themselves at the center of a bitter rivalry between their brothers' underground dance clubs.
Hough performed in London's West End where he starred as the male lead in the critically acclaimed stage version of Footloose, was one of the featured dancers on the Dancing with the Stars Tour and a choreographer on the BBC (UK) hit show, Dance X.
With celebrity partners on Dancing with the Stars that have included Joanna Krupa, Lil' Kim and current host Brooke Burke-Charvet, Shannon Elizabeth, Jennie Garth, Ricki Lake, Maria Menounos Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey and recent champion Kellie Pickler, Hough is best known for his innovation and daring choreography on the show. His work has brought him Emmy nominations and inquiries from the film and music world regarding his dance knowledge and ability.
In addition to choreographing the hit music video "Parachute" for British popstar Cheryl Cole, Hough performed live with her on her 2010 concert tour in England and France to rave reviews and standing ovations. Hough's professional ballroom accolades include, World Under 21 Latin American Champion, Two-time Open British Champion (Blackpool), Two-time International 'Open to the World Champion' and Two-time US Open Champion.
