DWTS Results and Eliminations: Nick Carter and Alexa PenaVega Soar

By Lisa Weseman | Sep 29th, 2015

Dancing with the Stars Week 3 was TV Night and the couples danced to songs that celebrated iconic television shows, from Gilligan's Island to Breaking Bad to The Addams Family. Season 19 Mirrorball champion and America's Funniest Home Videos host Alfonso Ribeiro returned as a guest judge. But the ballroom was missing one star: Kim Zolciak Biermann was unable to fly to Los Angeles after being hospitalized for a mini-stroke. Kim appeared via video call to share an update on her health, and Tom Bergeron announced that due to show rules, Kim and her Pro partner Tony Dovolani would have to withdraw from the competition since they'd been unable to perform.

Top Score: (tie)

Alexa PenaVega & Mark Ballas – 36 points (Jazz)

Nick Carter & Sharna Burgess – 36 points (Viennese Waltz)

Lowest Score:

Paula Deen & Louis van Amstel – 20 points (Samba)

Eliminated This Week:

Paula Deen & Louis van Amstel and Andy Grammer & Allison Holker were in jeopardy, but no couple was eliminated this week due to Kim and Tony leaving the competition.
