1. Why do you want to be on DANCING WITH THE STARS?

As a little girl, I learned to dance with my father, standing on his two feet. We had a big stereo in the living room, and I thought dancing with him was just the greatest thing. Then, after the murder of my fiancé, I became a criminal prosecutor -- spending all my time putting bad guys behind bars. There wasn't time for the Foxtrot! Now, I have the twins; they are the only ones I want to impress, and I think they'll love it. DANCING WITH THE STARS will give me the chance to do that!

2. Which style of dance do you think is most "you?"

The Swing!

3. What is your biggest handicap to overcome if you're going to win?

It will be very hard for me to be away from my twins, John David and Lucy, while I practice and rehearse.

4. You have a "Dancing" hero (for example, a pro dancer or other "Dancing" star)? Are any former DWTS stars an inspiration to you?

Growing up in the rural south -- Macon, Georgia -- we got only one television station because the pine trees around our home were so tall. On Saturday evenings, my parents would turn on THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW and would sit in front of the TV waiting for Bobby and Cissy. After that, I would sit about three inches from the TV screen, glued to AMERICAN BANDSTAND and SOUL TRAIN every Saturday! As an adult, I love Baryshnikov, Michael Jackson, Savion Glover, Gregory Hines and, most recently, Beyonce. I love to watch her dance. As far as DANCING WITH THE STARS, though, Kirstie Alley and Cloris Leachman were big inspirations!

5. Is there a particular dance/dance style that you most fear?

The Tango!

And what town would you classify as your "hometown?"

My hometown is Macon, an hour south of Atlanta.
