Justin Chonas Jordan Kwon
An actor and filmmaker, Justin Chon won major praise at this year's Sundance Film Festival, taking home the Next Audience Award for his film Gook, which is set during the Rodney King riots and focuses on the relationship between an African American girl and two Korean brothers who own and operate a shoe store in South Central Los Angeles. Much of the film's setting is loosely based on Chon's own father's former shoe store. The film opened nationwide in limited release in August of 2017.
Chon's television and film credits include ABC's Dr. Ken, the Yahoo basketball series Sin City Saints, and as a series regular on Nickelodeon's Just Jordan and Disney Channel's Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior. Additional television credits include guest-starring roles on House M.D. and New Girl.
Chon starred in the independent film Seoul Searching, and wrote, produced and starred in Man-Up.
Chon is known worldwide for his role as Eric Yorkie in the Twilight series of films. Additional film credits include the Martin Scorsese-executive-produced feature Revenge of the Green Dragons and from the creators of The Hangover, the feature film 21 and Over. Chon starred opposite Oscar® nominees, Taraji P. Henson and the late Michael Clarke Duncan, in From the Rough; and has appeared in Detention of the Dead, Hang Loose, Rock Jocks, Innocent Blood, Crossing Over with Harrison Ford; Detention; and the horror films Hack, Satanic and Balls Out with Sean Williams Scott.
Born and raised in Southern California, Chon's parents migrated from South Korea where his father was a well-known television and film actor, and his mother was an accomplished pianist. A typical Californian, he grew up on the beach while surfing, skateboarding, playing tennis and hitting the golf course. This multitalented actor also plays the guitar, piano, violin and the saxophone.
