We're siding with Bree, who takes an instant dislike to Alex's mother, Melina; not only is she a beer-swilling, unemployed cocktail waitress, but she starts "calling" each holiday with Alex and Andrew. But we'd never bet against Bree: Melina schemes to get Alex to move closer to her, so Bree announces that she's bought the boys a house on Wisteria Lane!

Now that he has his vision back, Carlos wants to work with the blind, but Gabrielle wants him to take the six-figure salary job offered by an old colleague, Brad. Carlos sums up his options: "Either I do something fulfilling, where I help out other people and feel good about myself, or I take a job I hate that eats my life and crushes my soul." She insists -- pretty selfishly, we think! --  that they've gone without long enough so he reluctantly calls Brad and accepts the job.
