We're happy to see that Edie, urged on by Karen, is finally questioning Dave's past. At a party, Edie pushes him to reveal where he went to college. We cringe when, in front of everyone, he tells her he didn't and that that deeply embarrasses him. Realizing who's to blame for her inquisitiveness, he recalls his own grandmother's paranoid dementia. We get a hint of how he'll get even with Karen when he says, "I just hope that doesn't happen to Karen."
