A few days before Karen's 70th birthday, Dave finds her going through his mail. He asks Edie if she's still "asking questions" and Edie assures him that Karen is a harmless busybody. But we wonder what he's up to when he suggests she throw Karen a surprise birthday party.

Gabrielle is alarmed that her period is late, especially since the last time she got pregnant, she insisted Carlos get a vasectomy. You can't blame her for being furious when Carlos admits, "I never got a vasectomy." Luckily, it's a false alarm anyway: Gabrielle's not pregnant.
