Carlos sides with Gabrielle when Mama Solis suggests Gabrielle get rid of her maid. But he and his mother are still trying to figure out who Gabrielle's lover might be. Meanwhile, Gabrielle is alarmed to see John hanging out with Bree's daughter, Danielle. At the weekly card game, Gabrielle sneaks off to confront John about Danielle. When she comes back, she finds her mother-in-law has stepped in and taken her friends for a pile of cash. Who knew Mama Solis was a card shark? Carlos worries when he hears about his mother's card playing, and tells Gabrielle his mother has a serious gambling problem.
