Armed with this new information, Gabrielle kills two birds with one stone: She leaves Mama Solis at a casino while she meets up with John. When she returns Mama Solis shamefacedly admits she has maxed out Carlos's credit card. Gabrielle agrees to pay off the card and keep it a secret. Now that she's in her daughter-in-law's debt -- literally -- Mama tells Carlos her suspicions about Gabrielle's affair were groundless. That is, until Carlos lets it slip that Gabrielle knew about her gambling problem. In an instant, all her goodwill evaporates and she realizes Gabrielle's lover has been right under her nose the whole time.
