We're not surprised that Gabrielle is the only one of Lynette's friends who doesn't volunteer to be her chemo buddy. Gaby admits why she hates hospitals: Her father died of cancer when she was five and her mother told her to smile so her father wouldn’t see her tears. We're moved along with Lynette when Gaby says she can’t fake a smile because she’s so scared of losing her. The two hug and make up. At the next session, Gaby holds a “chemo party” and invites all of Lynette’s friends.
