All summer, we've wondered what happened between Susan and Mike, and how she ended up with another man. We learn that five years ago, Susan and Mike were in a terrible collision with another car. We fear that Mike was killed, but it was the occupants of the other car who died. Susan blamed Mike, who failed to get the brakes fixed, and their shared guilt led to a split.

  • Admission of Guilt Everyone is concerned about Dave, who's been holed up in his house ever since Edie's death. Susan stops by and, after seeing a gun, mistakenly gets the idea that he's going to kill himself.  Dave insists he's not suicidal, but admits he's wracked with guilt because he fought with Edie before her accident. Susan coos that he can't blame himself, and shares the story of the accident that split her and Mike apart, the one that killed a woman and her daughter. Susan admits that she, not Mike, was the one driving the night of the fatal car crash!
  • A Shocking Demise Dave finds Edie waiting up for him at home. She yells, "Tell me the truth, you freak! Did you move here to hurt Mike Delfino?" He admits he did. She grabs the phone to call Mike but Dave snatches it away. He starts to choke her but she manages to get away. Orson is attacked by the elderly woman whose home he broke into and stumbles into the street, disoriented. Edie is driving frantically, trying to dial at the same time. She swerves to avoid Orson and crashes into an electricity pole. When she steps out of the car, she is electrocuted by a downed wire and DIES ON THE SPOT.

Then she struck up a relationship with a handsome young house painter named Jackson.
  • Gaby and Her Girls Gaby is a mother with a very distinct parenting style. Her daughter, Juanita, has a weight problem, so she forces her to exercise by making her run after the car on the way home! Gabrielle sadly admits she's glad Carlos is blind because she no longer feels pretty. He insists she'll always be beautiful to him. Aww.
