DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - "The Glamorous Life" - On ABC's "Desperate Housewives," SUNDAY, JANUARY 31 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), Gaby and Angie challenge each other's parenting skills, Susan befriends a stripper (Julie Benz) and takes her under her wing, Lynette and Tom argue the merits of their new therapist, and a concerned Bree keeps a watchful eye on Orson for fear he may take his own life. Lynette doesn't like that Dr. Graham always sides with Tom. Tom convinces her to attend a play the doctor is in. She's terrible, which Lynette doesn't mind telling her, but Tom lies and says she was "Great." Surprisingly, this leads to a huge breakthrough when Tom admits he likes to be the good cop, forcing Lynette to always be the bad cop. After Tom admits he hated the play too, the therapist orders them both out.

Bree is puzzled by Orson's newfound tranquility, until she finds his suicide letter! She vows to watch him 24 hours a day and we have to laugh when he replies, "Being bored to death wasn't how I was planning to go, but we can try it your way."

Of course they should let th neighbors know, it's not like the Bolens can kill them to save their cover if everyone already knows. But it doesn't really matter anymore now, does it? The writers have destroyed the show this season. The girls and I get together every wednesday to watch but lately our enthusiasm for DH has just died. The show always had a "soap opera" feel to it, but it was done in a respectable way, now it has just become a sad attempt at a once amazing television series. The airing of the episodes has become so infrequent that we seriously thought the last episode was the season finale, and since the last episode was so boring I decided to not watch the next season. I'm glad to hear that another episode will be airing in a couple of weeks, and that the last episode that I saw wasn't a sad attempt at a season finale. I just hope that the writers can get together and produce something worth while or they are going to lose a lot of fans.

I think Gabby should tell Susan (since susans daughter had an affair with Angies husband) and they should plot a scheme to get angie and nick out of there. BUT....it back fires. The bolens kidnap Gabby and Susan and they ask for millions of dollars for ransom so they can leave the country. But Danny and Ana have really falling for each other and Danny is getting tired of all of the lies and he tells Ana what accually happened. Then Danny and Ana team up to rescue Gabby and Susan with a little help from Susans daughter. Then once rescued and the bolens are in custody, while handcuffed Abby slapps Angie and at the same time Susan puches Nick. Danny and Ana fall in love and get married in a future episode. BUT.....sometime later the Bolens escape custody. So suspence builds as everyone on wisteria lane wonders where they may be and what they might do.

I think Gaby will definitely talk to someone, most likely the other housewives! I hope she does and soon, because I find the Bolens incredibly boring. Not a big fan of Ang, (no offense to the "actress") and the son's character is very flat, and one dimensional. Whatever the secret is, it better be good, because it's been excruciating whenever Ang is on. I think they should take a trip down memory lane, and bring in some of the old neighbors to see what they are up to, maybe Tom's daughter? She should be a little vixen by now!

I think that the Solises should keep quiet for now because we all still don't know for sure what the Bolens might do if they find out the Solises know. Gabby will most likely tell the other housewives though or she might black mail the Bolens to get something she wants from Angie. So I'm definitely going to say they should take the 'wait and see' approach, but the more drama on the show, the better!!

I think for the time being they should keep their mouths shut. I mean they have no facts about anytihng, for all they know she could just be some super over protective mother. But knowing the housewives, they will probuly jump to conclusions, tell all of their friends what they think could be going on, and cause problems....but hey isnt that why everyone loves the show?? FOREVER LOVE DH

No Gaby will totally use this secret to get something she needs from Angie. I may not like Nick but I LOVE Angie (Drea de Matteo)! She is the best! I have been a huge fan of hers since The Sopranos! Kick Nick off but please keep Angie and Danny aka Tyler. He is handsome and his character is so deep! Love DH forever

I am also very annoyed with ABC for not letting us know when the next air date is. So I checked IMDB and found out that the next new one is on Feb. 21st and Feb. 28th. I hope that helps

The Super Bowl was over 2 hours ago. Guess what i have been doing since then, WAITING FOR DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. We've gotten like 3 new episodes since the beginning of the year, this is getting out of hand. Im not watching next week, ill go pirate it online later im not giving them ratings anymore.

The networks don't instantly know what everyone is watching, that's what the Nielsen Ratings are for. Are you a Nielsen Family or have you recently filled out one of their one week diaries that documents every single show you watch each and every day? If not, the networks have no idea who you are or what you are watching!

I can't understand why ABC keeps putting to many commericals during DH. I hate it so much. It seems to be there one time in the day to put them. I really hate it. I wish ABC won't do that. I was watching other shows and that don't have as many commericals as DH in them. Also I wish there were more DH on tv. I hate the time gaps between shows i forget the story then and i have to remember what happened the last time. Please ABC stop with all the commericals its no entertaining at all!!

Ok This is what should really happen... Gaby should launch a full investigation against her husbands advice and actually discover the scoop. In the process get caught by Mrs. Bolen who goes into her NY aggressive attitude on Gaby. Gaby cooley uses the secret against her to get out of the fix. Gaby discusses it all with Carlos who now has to help Gaby decide whether or not to go public or let the Bolen's hang themselves. Meanwhile Mrs. Bolen harbors thick hate for Abby and her leverage. Tension should be brought to an all time high stemming their teenager's wreckless sexual ill constraints. Mrs. Bolen comes to Mrs. Solises fused by hate. Words are thrown around Gabby reveals she's going to let the cat about the bag and get the rats off the block! Mrs. Bolen loses control punches Gabby who proceeds to give her a Desperate Housewife beatdown Straight Dynasty style!! Mrs Bolen has to literally run out the house to get away from Gabby into the arms of the police who had already been notified by Carlos who had thought the matter over at work and decided to do the right thing!

ABC needs to get their act together or they're going to start losing ratings real quick if they don't. I agree about the commercials. At the beginning of the hour you'll notice you get about 12-14 minutes of content. After that it's like every 4-5 minutes you get about 30 commercials in a row. I think it's better to just wait for the DVD. I wish HBO or Showtime would pick up the show. Then cable/satellite would be worth paying for. Not with all of these commercials. I'm getting rid of my cable in a couple of months. Not worth it anymore. The cable companies should be using our money to pay for program sponsorship and limit the commercial time. Why should we pay for something we don't want? The networks are mismanaged. The only thing I watch is Desperate Housewives and Army Wives (which doesn't come back on until April or May). Everything else is garbage.

That was such a good episode!! There's probably not a new episode this sunday because of the super bowl...I wish there was though. What's everyone saying about the Solis kids now....that they might not be Gaby's and Carlos's?? I got a little confused because I haven't seen anything about that..lol. Gaby and Carlos are totally going to end up telling someone about the Bolens and it will end up traveling around the neighborhood sooner or later. And I really hope Orson and Bree work things out and they don't have him commit suicide. How can you not like Mike and Susan?? They are my favorites after Eva Longoria Parker of course..

Yes, because then the Housewives will go into "full investigaton and speculation" mode and it'll be a hoot. I Love Angie, and I like Josh better than I did because he's so sweet. Ana? I can't stand her. It's funny, but there's some people that you love to hate in a show and she's not one of them. I just hate her period. I cringe whenever she's on the screen. I'd love to see Zak return. He's so creepy. I think bringing back some of the previous characters and creating a temporary storyline for them would be very cool. As much as I grew to dislike Orson, I find that I like the character now. You've managed to make him a very 'sympathetic character,' one that my heart goes out to. I'm really enjoying the Bree/Orson story line. I like the other story lines as well - including the counseling story arc with Lynette/Tom. The beauty of Desperate Housewives is that it can make you laugh, cry, and THINK. Lynette's revealing to Tom's therapist (before she actually came around and decided to see her too) that she needed to feel in control of everything and when she didn't feel that way she got mad and since nobody can totally control everything all of the time, she then. was mad all of the time was an eye-opener for me. Don't we all know someone like that? . . . maybe, even ourselves? And, weren't we wondering why they/we were acting that way? It's such a fine line between comedy and drama that Desperate Housewives walks. I consider it a dramedy rather than a comedy because there are real tragedies and real issues that the characters are all going through and working through. Yet, at the same time, there is so much (unintended by the characters) comedy.That's why I find myself watching some episodes more than once and getting the same laughs out of them that I did the first time around. This is a great series! I'm glad that we have *at least* 2 more seasons of the show to look forward to besides this one.
