Carlos can see light again, but his vision will take a few weeks to fully return. That gives Gabrielle some time to buy back his prized Lou Gehrig baseball! But his sight returns quicker than expected and she's forced to admit the sacrifices she's made to keep the family afloat. She gets the baseball back, but we're reminded of how sweet Carlos can be when he sells it to buy her a beautiful dress. We should all be so lucky.
Susan says she's okay with Katherine dating Mike, but little MJ is flat out against it: A zoo visit ends with MJ throwing a sundae in Katherine's hair! (Kind of hilarious.) Susan's presence smoothes things over at the bowling alley, but when Mike unthinkingly puts his hand over Susan's, MJ drops his ball on Katherine's foot. MJ admits he's waiting for his parents to get back together. Susan confesses that she had to promise that to get MJ to sleep one night. She asks Mike, "Don't you ever think about it?" and we feel awful when Mike dodges the question altogether, and simply changes the subject.
