CHARACTER BIO
Kat wants a change in her life. A nurse, she possesses natural healing abilities and has an uncanny green thumb. But her powers can be destructive too, as she discovers when Raymond, her unemployed husband who spends his days observing life from a hammock with a can of beer, becomes their unintentional target.ACTOR BIO
Jaime Ray Newman is no stranger to television, having started her career on the popular ABC soap General Hospital. She starred on the series from 2001 until 2003 as Kristina Cassadine, a member of the infamous and aristocratic Cassadine Family. She then moved on to recurring roles on CW’s Veronica Mars, ABC Family’s Lincoln Heights, Sci-Fi’s Eureka and FX’s Nip/Tuck. Newman has also appeared in dozens of other series, including Supernatural, Stargate: Atlantis, Crossing Jordan, Bones, Medium, Criminal Minds and CSI.
On the big screen she recently completed filming the independent film “The Gauntlet.” She also appeared in Sony’s “Made of Honor,” “Sex and Breakfast” and “Live!”
A native of Michigan, Newman currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
