ACTOR BIO
Johann Urb, a native of Tallinn, Estonia and the son of Estonian musician Tarmo Urb of the Urb Brothers, immigrated to Finland at the age of 10 where he spent the remainder of his childhood. Subsequently he moved to New York City, where he modeled on contract with the Ford Agency. Through a scholarship, he formally studied drama at the prestigious Lee Strasberg Institute.
Urb’s television credits include a series regular role in The Mountain, a recurring role in Dirt and guest-starring roles in such diverse shows as Entourage, One Tree Hill and CSI: Miami.
He will be in seen in Roland Emmerich’s feature film “2012” for Sony Pictures, opposite John Cusack, Thandie Newton and Oliver Platt. He recently wrapped the independent film “Pornstar,” which he also produced. Other film credits include “All In,” “Strictly Sexual,” “Zoolander,” “The Bank Job” and “The Hottie & the Nottie.”
Urb currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife.
