A respected nurse, a gifted craftsman and an environmentalist—Tim Nickless was all of these, on top of being a loving husband and father to three young boys.
Ty and the gang roll into Holt, Michigan, where Tim, a true Renaissance man with a lust for life, passed away in early 2008 after a painful seven-year battle with Hepatitis C.
With her husband now gone, Arlene and her three boys are on their own in a 148-year-old farmhouse that we soon learn is in dire need of repairs, to say the least. The structure’s walls, floors and foundation are deteriorating, and the old wiring is a fire hazard.
We have no doubt that, had he survived, Tim would have and could have turned this dilapidated house into their dream home. Enter Ty and his designers to do just that!
The Nickless family is desperate for help, and so we can’t help cheering as the EM:HE team work to rebuild the home in which Arlene and the boys shared so many good memories with Tim.
