Season 7
Family Photo Collage WallOne of the main elements in the Music Studio of the Wagstaff's new home is a photo collage. Ty used family photos to create a 3D art piece that became a great focal point for the room. Materials: (4) sheets of 1/2" MDF or plywood8-12 Enlarged Black and White photosTools:Table sawGlue, nails, or screwsHammer or drillSpray AdhesivePrimerPaint (in desired color)To Begin:1) Start by collecting photos of your family, pets, flowers, or anything you would like to display on your walls. 2) Once you have your images selected, they need to be cropped, enlarged and turned in to black and White images. You will need approximately 1-2 of each size. (12"x12", 14"x14", 16"x16", 20"x20", and one large 24"x24" or 30"x30") 3) Cut out squares and rectangles of plywood or MDF. You will need enough to mount your photos to as well as extra to layer on top of each other. (4 8"x8", 4 10"x10", 4 12"x12", 4 14"x14", and similar sizes in rectangles)4) Prime and paint all your pieces and one full sheet of plywood, we used Navaho White but any light color will work good to create contrast between the board and the picture. 5) Mount your photos to the squares with acid-free spray adhesive. 6) Lay out the painted sheet of plywood and arrange your squares evenly like in the picture provided. Layer squares on top of each other to create depth and be sure to overlap squares. 7) Have your mounted photos ready and place them as you go, mounting them with glue or nails. Allow adequate time to dry before you mount this to the wall. 8) Touch up any nail holes or fill and paint any screw holes. 9) The best way to attach this to a wall is with a French cleat.

- The Master Bedroom: Eduardo really carried a musical theme throughout the room. The headboard of the bed is even made of guitar strings!
- The Music Studio: Ty created a room that's a great collaboration space for Tobin and Jill to teach their kids music for years to come. The room even opens up to the backyard, just in case they ever want to have a little outdoor concert.
