LaPolla Spray Foam Insulation
One of the many green elements we used in the Stott family's new home is spray foam insulation. It is applied as a liquid, therefore allowing it to seal around plugs and outlets more efficiently because it expands into tight areas. By acting as a wind and air barrier it often eliminates the need for separate air tightness detailing. This can increase energy efficiency and allow downsizing of the heating and cooling system equipment. Sprayed foam insulation does not shrink, sag, settle, or biodegrade. It also eliminates air infiltration and reduces the chance of mold growth. Next time you are building a home, consider using this eco-friendly insulation!
