Cellulose InsulationCellulose insulation is one of the many green building products we used in the Heathcock family's new home. There is a smaller amount of energy required to make it than with any other insulation material. It is made from recycled newspapers, as well as other paper products. This reduces the amount of paper that ends up in landfills and therefore prevents greenhouse gases being released into the environment (when paper decomposes in landfills it releases greenhouse gases). In addition, even the leftovers from the insulation are recycled right away at the build site. Aside from being eco-friendly, this insulation will reduce your energy costs, making them about 20% to 40% less. Cellulose insulation is an eco-friendly and economical alternative to traditional insulation!
