THANK YOU FOR WATCHING
"Huber Family" Photos (99)
98/99
The Huber family values living simply and protecting the environment.  Therefore, we wanted to build them a home that was true to their eco-friendly lifestyle.  This resulted in their home being a Green Build, meaning that it saves water and energy, and conserves natural resources.  It also uses salvaged materials or products made with a high recycled content, and reduces its overall impact on the environment.  We began by using recycled building materials, such as wood, metal, copper & concrete.  We also recycled the remains of their old home and turned them into mulch for their backyard.  In addition, we gave them a wind turbine so they can use wind energy.  This not only helps our environment, but will also save them up to 30% on their energy costs.  The interior stairs are made from recycled timbers, and their flooring is cork.  Even some of their furniture, such as the coffee table, was constructed from recycled materials!  As you can see from all of these elements in the Huber family's home, the sky is the limit in building green!
