#5 – Forever stars Ioan Gruffudd, a fantastic actor with an unforgettable name

Welsh actor Ioan Gruffudd (pronounced Yo-an Griffith) stars as the enigmatic Dr. Henry Morgan. Henry is the literal definition of tall, dark, and handsome, with an accent to die for and a charming sense of humor to boot!

#4 – Henry has a secret that he can't take to the grave

Dr. Morgan has a strange secret: even though he can die, he never stays dead! He refers to the mystery of his inexplicable immortality as a curse, but he's been using his ability to help others over the years. When we meet Henry, he's discovering that he can use his knowledge and experience to help the NYPD solve murders too. He may be 200 years old, but it's never too late for a career change! Watch Henry in action below:

#3 – Henry likes to push the envelope, at work and at home

There may be more than research going on in Henry's laboratory (Side note, he pronounces "laboratory" in a totally sexy way.) In the midst of a murder investigation, Detective Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza) finds torture devices in Henry’s lab. Henry clarifies that the instruments are used for sex. Having lived so long, Dr. Morgan is open to trying new things and taking risks from time to time. (If we’ve got your attention now, you definitely want to check out reason #2.)

#2 – Each time he dies, he returns... NAKED!

Each time Henry dies, he returns in water, in his birthday suit! We won’t judge anyone for taking pleasure in this part of his pain. (This was almost reason #1.)

#1 – Why is Henry still alive?

We learn more about Henry's amazing life over the last few hundred years through amazing flashbacks, and quickly find out that he's still mourning the loss of the love of his life. But what's not clear, even to Henry, is why he's still alive. Watch along with us TUESDAYS 10|9c this fall as Henry tries to uncover the mystery of his existence, and uses his expertise to help Detective Martinez and the NYPD solve crimes.
