Chelsey Crisp has displayed great versatility as an actress, writer and producer throughout her career. She currently stars as Honey in Fresh Off The Boat, which is will soon return for a third season. Crisp will also star in the upcoming romantic comedy feature In-Lawfully Yours as Jesse, and as the lead in Spitfire Studios' feature horror film Bleed, which was released earlier this year.
Crisp has had roles in numerous television shows including New Girl, Mike & Molly, Happy Endings, The Office and The Joe Schmo Show. Additional TV credits include Rake, NCIS, CSI Miami, Rizzoli & Isles, Journeyman, and Threshold. She was also previously seen in the award-winning indie film Reconciliation.
Crisp is also the artistic director of Duchess Riot, an all-female comedy troupe recently voted "#1 Theater Group" on the L.A. HotList for the fourth year in a row. She currently produces comedic projects with Duchess Riot, ranging from live improv to feature films, and they perform a monthly show at ACME Comedy NoHo Theatre.
A graduate from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts with a degree in theatre and a Shakespeare certificate from The British American Drama Academy, Crisp spent a year abroad producing shows for Universal Studios Singapore and Resorts World Sentosa. Crisp continued her education at Steppenwolf West, Stan Kirsch Studios and Margie Habor Studio, and furthers her comedy training at ACME, Upright Citizen's Brigade, The Groundlings, and iO West. She credits the bulk of her comedy technique to LA-based coach Donovan Scott.
Crisp additionally won NBC's Fear Factor by doing things better left unmentioned.
Crisp currently resides in Los Angeles.
Honey is next door neighbor of the Huangs. She became Jessica's best friend after being the only woman in the whole neighborhood willing to eat her home made tofu. Honey persuaded Jessica to pursue her dream of becoming a house realtor and is also the object of Eddie's crush.
