Randall Park Talks Designing Escort Ads and Playing Kim Jong-un

By Rose Curiel | Feb 12th, 2015

Ever wonder what Fresh Off the Boat's Randall Park did for a living before starring on the ABC comedy? Well, as it turns out, quite a lot!

The actor stopped by the February 11 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live to tell Jimmy all about his many odd jobs before landing a leading role on the show. Park logged time as a waiter, a Starbucks employee and a graphic designer—for escort ads! That's right, the 40-year-old was once in charge of creating the seedy ads that appear in the back section of the newspaper.

But Park also snagged a number of gigs in front of the camera, revealing that he was able to make a living from doing commercials. You may remember him from his starring role in a K-Y Jelly ad?

If not, perhaps you recognize him from playing Kim Jong-un in the controversial film The Interview?
