Jason and Sam’s Love Story Heats Up: Jason's Memory Returns

By Ann Johnson | May 10th, 2016

Jason and Sam (commonly known as #JaSam) have been one of General Hospital’s most popular super couples. Jason Morgan first met Sam McCall in 2003 in the PCPD interrogation room after they were both arrested for helping Sonny Corinthos & Scott Baldwin. Later, Jason was assigned to protect Sam and it wasn’t long until their friendship turned into something more. In 2013, Jason was shot and was presumed dead when his body wasn’t found. Sam eventually moved on but never forgot her husband. Jason reappeared in October 2014, as “Jake Doe,” not remembering anything from his past. Sam never thought she would ever see her husband again but as history has proven, in Port Charles anything is possible.

In honor of today’s racy love scene, let’s take a look back at Sam & Jason’s journey after he arrived back in Port Charles as “Jake Doe.”

Sam takes Danny for a checkup at the hospital. She loses track of Danny who has run into Jason's room. She runs after him and lays her eyes on Jason:

Oh no! Jake sees Patrick and Sam in bed and flashes back to himself making love with Sam. He continues to have flashbacks about their life together.

Sam admits to Jake something she's told no one else: all this time, she's been unable to put Jason behind her. They are interrupted by Robert Yi and his grandmother Mrs. Yi, Noodle Buddha's proprietors. Mrs. Yi, nearly blind, mistakes Jake for Jason, and won't accept that she has it wrong, insisting that Robert bless them on their anniversary.

A few months later, Jason finds Sam and carries her up the stairs, pulls her out of the house, just as house blows up behind them:

Finally, the moment that we have all been waiting for! Sam and Jason's charged moment turns to a kiss. It brings back a flood of memories to Sam but not to Jason. Overwhelmed by the pressure, Jason tells her they can't be together. He insists that he cannot move forward until he fills in the blanks about his life. Watch their kiss now:

Finally, the unresolved sexual tension between Sam & Jason finally erupts and they make love.

After the accident, Jason is visited by images of Robin, Carly, Sonny & Sam that provide him the inner strength he needs to help Dante. Jason opens up and finally tells Sam how he feels about her.

Jason finds Sam and quickly reports that Carlos got away. Sam is worried about his condition but Jason insists he's better than fine. Jason tells her he remembers everything. Now they can live happily ever after!
