Izzie and Alex recently took the plunge in one of the most beautiful and romantic weddings you’ve ever seen. She seems to have finally gotten over her first true love, Denny Duquette.
When Izzie accidentally became pregnant at just 16, Izzie wanted a better life for her daughter so she gave her up for adoption. She still doesn't have a great relationship with her mother, having rarely spoken to her since she left home.

Izzie was diagnosed with cancer not very long ago. She continues to fight the disease and is absolutely determined to get back to being a surgeon.

We bet that many of you don’t even realize that Katherine Heigl was, in fact, the child actress who played Gerard Depardieu’s daughter in My Father the Hero (1994).
Now she is all grown up—and thank goodness for that or else we’d be really worried!
Heigl has emerged as one of Hollywood's brightest talents on both the silver screen and on television.
She stars in the romantic comedy The Ugly Truth, co-starring Gerard Butler, and also starred in 27 Dresses and Knocked Up. Earlier film credits include the comedy The Ringer, the horror film Valentine, Steven Soderbergh's critically acclaimed depression-era drama, King of the Hill, Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, opposite Steven Segal, Stand-Ins and That Night.
On television, Heigl starred on the WB's sci-fi drama series, Roswell, as well as the Hallmark Channel's Love Comes Softly, TBS' Evil Never Dies and Love's Enduring Promise.
For her role as Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens in ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Heigl earned an Emmy Award in 2007 as well as a Golden Globe nomination.
