CHARACTER BIO

LIKES:
Ballpoint pens (they save lives); using unconventional ways of getting his job done; the U.S. Army

DISLIKES:
Being told what to do; asking permission; being powerless

NOTABLE RELATIONSHIPS:

Owen seems to have taken an immediate liking to Cristina Yang. The two continue a close relationship, despite Owen continuing to suffer from PTSD—a result of his intense memories of the war in Iraq.

OTHER:
Clearly, Owen is unlike any other surgeon at Seattle Grace. His unusual (yet effective) methods have definitely raised a few eyebrows. Owen joined the staff after his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army. It was rumored that Richard brought Owen aboard to reclassify the hospital as a Level One trauma unit.
