It's not always a sad story with Kepner. A very good trait of hers is that she is very, and we mean VERY organized. At one point during the seventh season she created a checklist in an effort to reduce mistakes and patient deaths. Owen loved this idea; others (particularly Cristina) hated it. Cristina breached protocol by ignoring the checklist and April reported her even after Cristina bribed with a recommendation to Owen. It was a good thing April did what she thought was right because her checklist worked and she was granted the position of Chief resident.

Even with the new title, respect has been hard to come by for April.
