How to Get Away with Murder Recap: Asher Puts Everyone on Edge

Welcome to the How to Get Away with Murder Recap of Season 2, Episode 5, "Meet Bonnie" (Original Airdate Thursday, October 22, 2015)  Asher discovers not everything is what it seems when you work for Annalise. Meanwhile, Frank is presented with a situation that hits close to home, and Wes’ search to find out more about Rebecca’s disappearance culminates into an explosive confrontation.

Asher is Running Rogue
Asher believes he knows who is responsible for murdering Sam Keating.  He reaches out to his father to work with Prosecutor Sinclair that will give him immunity for the information he provides.  Bonnie tells him that she's the one that killed Sam Keating and to not pursue this because it would put her in jail.  Asher wants the full story of what took place.  The remaining Keating Five, Frank, Bonnie and Annalise are trying to do as much damage control while Asher meets with Prosecutor Sinclair.  Michaela can't stop waiting to find out what is going on.  She approaches Bonnie to find out what Asher is trying to do.  Annalise comes in to tell them to stand down and makes everyone aware of the situation. 

Annalise's Update About Asher|Annalise comes clean and tells everyone about the situation with Asher.|Michaela (Aja Naomi King) can't stop waiting to find out what is going on. She approaches Bonnie (Liza Weil) to see what Asher is trying to do. Annalise (Viola Davis) comes in to tell them to stand down and makes everyone aware of the situation. Laurel Wants Frank to Distract Her
Laurel can't stop thinking about the impending doom.  She asks Frank to meet her in the basement to help take her mind off things.  Frank even asks her "what happened to getting to know each other"

Wes Goes Down the Rabbit Hole
Wes and Levi (Guest Star Matt Cohen) make some progress in finding out what happened to Rebecca.  They visit the cemetary where Frank contacted the groundskeeper.  They're able to find out Frank asked for a key to a storage locker shortly after Rebecca disappeared.  Wes steals the storage locker key from Frank's keys.  He is about to head to the locker with Levi until Connor, Michaela and Laurel approach him to ask what has been going on.  At the same time, Levi is arrested for having drugs in his car.  Wes, Connor, Michaela and Laurel make it to the storage locker.  The locker contains a suitcase.  Everyone fears the worst right before Wes opens the suitcase.  When they find a suitcase full of money, Laurel, Michaela and Connor are angry with Wes for leading them down this path.  We then find out Frank set up Wes. 

Frank Sets Wes Up for Failure|Wes follows Frank's clues that leads him to a dead end.|Wes (Alfred Enoch) is trying to figure out what happened to Rebecca. He works with Levi to track down the storage locker that may contain Rebecca's dead body. Everyone fears the worst right before Wes opens the suitcase. When they find a suitcase full of money, Laurel, Michaela and Connor are angry with Wes. From Season 2, Episode 5, "Meet Bonnie" of How to Get Away with Murder ABC THURSDAYS 10|9c.

 



Bonnie Can't Stop Asher from Testifying
Bonnie meets Asher at the bar to take one last shot at stopping him from testifying.  Bonnie brings their relationship into the decision but Asher believes Bonnie should not get away with Sam's murder.  She also tells Asher that she loves him but that isn't enough to stop him from going to Prosecutor Sinclair.  Bonnie is devastated when she tells Annalise she couldn't stop Asher.

Annalise Silences Asher
With no other option, Annalise arrives at Asher's place.  She wants him to watch a recording of a young Bonnie being molested by her father.  Annalise makes him watch the entire video so he understands why Bonnie needed to attack Sam (hypothetically).

Flash Forward: Asher Runs
Bonnie and Asher flee the mansion together.  Bonnie pulls into a gas station to use the restroom and wash off the blood.  When she returns back, Asher is no longer sitting in the passenger seat.  Asher goes to the police station to make a statement.  Will everyones fate be sealed once he gives his statement?
