NEW YORK CITY MAYOR BILL DE BLASIO TO MAKE GOOD ON BET WITH LOS ANGELES MAYOR ERIC GARCETTI OVER RANGERS-KINGS STANLEY CUP

DE BLASIO TO PERFORM RENDITION OF “I LOVE LA” ON "JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" TONIGHT ON ABC

Preceding Game 1 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Final, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a bet with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. If the New York Rangers won, Mayor Garcetti would perform a rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” on Jimmy Kimmel Live.  If the Los Angeles Kings won, Mayor de Blasio would perform a rendition of Randy Newman’s “I Love LA” on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The losing Mayor would also provide a local favorite for everyone in Kimmel’s audience—Mayor Garcetti would deliver LA's own Pink's Hot Dogs, while Mayor de Blasio would import hot dogs from Grays Papaya.

Following the Los Angeles Kings' 2014 Stanley Cup win, Mayor de Blasio will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday night to sing “I love LA” and also treat Kimmel’s studio audience to authentic New York City hot dogs.  The Mayor will be joined by New York City’s 52ndStreet Project chorus, a group of students between the ages of nine and eighteen.

Mayor de Blasio will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live via satellite from Times Square NYC while his opponent Mayor Garcetti will be alongside the late night host in his Los Angeles studio.

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35pm/10:35pm CT on ABC.
