Meanwhile, Sawyer, Juliet and Locke have Jones and his cohort at gunpoint. One of the guys, with the name Cunningham stitched on his uniform, quickly says something to Jones -- only he speaks in Latin. Juliet is surprised and responds in Latin. How do they know how to speak Latin? The same way Juliet does -- because they're Others.

Ellie and her team march Faraday's group through the jungle to a former U. S. military field camp taken over by the Others. Richard Alpert greets them and asks if they've come back for their bomb. Faraday realizes the Others think they are part of the American military, and tells Charlotte and Miles their best chance of staying alive is to let the Others continue thinking that. Faraday points to a man with bandaged hands and guesses they are radiation burns. He asks Richard if the hydrogen bomb's housing has been compromised. Richard doesn't say, but Faraday warns him that the bomb could destroy the entire island. If Faraday can't render it inert, then all of them are going to die. Richard tells Ellie to take him to the bomb.
