Ben's handwritten orders to commute Juliet's execution
Ben's handwritten note
ordering Isabel to commute Juliet's execution. Found guilty of killing Danny and helping Sawyer
and Kate escape, Juliet is ordered to be executed in the episode, "Stranger in a Strange Land."
However, Jack intervenes and agrees to save Ben in return for Juliet's release. Ben acquiesces and
pens his orders, which Alex delivers to Isabel just as the verdict is being read. The letter reads, in
full: "Isabel, I hereby commute Juliet's sentence. Exicution [sic] is off the table. The normal rules
do not apply here. I will however order that Juliet be marked and I suggest that Tom carry out
this order. Ben."
