The Future's Not So Bright
Against John Locke's wishes, Jack contacts the people on the freighter. They can get a fix on their position and will send help. They will finally be able to get off the island. But that may not be a good thing. We flash forward to Los Angeles where Jack is a mess, drunk and desperate. He calls Kate to tell her that they weren't supposed to leave. They have to go back. They have to go back to the island.
